No shocking result in a game in Cojutepeque where fifth rankedSanta Tecla (6-3) smashed 7th ranked Cojute (3-6) 98-75 on Wednesday. Santa Tecla outrebounded Cojute 48-29 including a 39-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Santa Tecla looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Dominican Xavier dela Rosa (196-1991) scored 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Eliezer Sanchez chipped in 9 points and 22 rebounds during the contest. Four Santa Tecla players scored in double figures. At the losing side Puerto Rican guard Hector Maldonado (185-1991) responded with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American center Troidell Carter (206-1991, college: Slippery Rock) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Santa Tecla moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Salvadorenos. Loser Cojute keeps the seventh position with six games lost.
